Our adorable pup Maddy had a date with the groomers on Tuesday. She'd never been before, but they bathed her, fluffed her, clipped nails, etc.

I picked her up and she was the softest, fluffiest, nicest smelling dog ever. I decided since we were in Kitchener anyways I would take her to her old stomping grounds just off Bleams Road.

Given the mild temperatures I knew there was a risk of mud, but decided for her enjoyment it would be okay. When we got there is wasn't too muddy.

We began our usual circuit and she ran and romped like usual. As we neared the water she was well off in the bushes.

Out of nowhere she crossed the path in front of me, and dove into the lake.

Now usually she's a princess around water, doesn't like swimming much. Well not today. She was in so deep the only part of her that wasn't wet was the top of her head. And in probably in over 100 times we've been to this place, she's NEVER gone in the water here.

So much for the $40 on grooming. When she finally came out of the water, she was wet, sandly/muddy and smelt like pond water. I was angry about her being so stupid, but laughing pretty hard. Bah, dogs!
